Abstract
Rețeaua generală de transporturi în Uniunea Europeană este de importanță deosebită, mai ales în condițiile operării celor două directive privind libera circulație a bunurilor și serviciilor în spațiul comunitar european. Transporturile de mărfuri și bunuri se realizează pe căile rutiere, feroviare, navale și aeriene. Fiecare dintre aceste căi de transport prezintă particularități care se pretează, în funcție de grupa de mărfuri, la mișcarea bunurilor. Uniunea Europeană a adoptat o strategie proprie care vizează dezvoltarea și armonizarea rețelei de transport din fiecare stat membru, așa încât să se realizeze o rețea de transport unitară la nivelul uniunii. În acest context, utilizând datele oferite de Eurostat, autorii efectuează o analiză detaliată a perspectivei evoluției transporturilor în Uniunea Europeană. Accentul este pus și pe situația prezentată de România, subliniindu-se nevoia de a se întreprinde măsuri urgente care să aibă ca efect apropierea de calitatea infrastructurii din celelalte țări comunitare.

ANALYSIS OF THE EVOLUTION TRANSPORT PERSPECTIVE IN THE EUROPEAN UNION STATES MEMBERS
Abstract
The general transport network in the European Union is of particular importance, especially under the conditions of the two Directives on the free movement of goods and services in the European Community. Freight and goods transport is carried out by road, rail, ship and air. Each of these modes of transport has particularities which, depending on the group of goods, lend themselves to the movement of goods. The European Union has adopted an own strategy aimed at developing and harmonizing the transport network in each Member State so as to achieve a unitary transport network at Union level. In this context, using the data provided by Eurostat, the authors carry out a detailed analysis of the evolution of transport in the European Union. The emphasis is also on the situation presented by Romania, underlining the need for urgent action to bring the quality of the infrastructure in the other EU countries closer.
